Wayzata Dentist Betty:

When we think of wonderful people, we think of Betty. Like many women (and men) her age one of the great parts of life is the time spent with the grandchildren. She decided a new smile was one way to keep her young and keep up with the youngsters.

Betty′s existing porcelain crowns were beginning to show the lines at the gumline that are so often unattractive. Additionally there was excessive wear on her bottom teeth that she didn't like and she also feared that they may have become extremely weak and may crack at an inopportune time. I loved the hug we shared when we completed her treatment and sent her off to Florida for the winter.

James:

James is a very successful attorney who realized the potential a better—looking smile would have on his business and family life. After he decided to have us restore his crooked teeth and discolored teeth to a near—perfect smile, James wrote to us saying, Until Dr. Bjorklund fixed my smile, I didn′t realize how infrequently I smiled. Now, Ilove to smile and each day I smile more and more. Family, friends, and business associates have all noticed the change.

James′ treatment involved two appointments where porcelain facings and porcelain crowns re—established a normal contour and color of his smile. We performed his treatment as a patient at The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies during the Advanced Anterior Aesthetic Course.

Tom:

From the mid—eighties until today, many attempts to use composite resin (plastics) for cosmetic changes have been tried. In many cases these resins are a very effective way of changing a person’s smile, but often times the long term results are not as durable as porcelain.

Tom was a patient who had composite facings placed many years ago and, predictably, they chipped and discolored over the years. When he retired from a successful career in finances, he decided to make his transition to Florida with a new smile. Our treatment consisted of bleaching his lower teeth and replacing his worn composites with Empress porcelain facings.

Glenda:

Recently remarried, Glenda decided it was time to look her best. Replacing her old, opaque looking metal—based porcelain crowns and placing all—porcelain veneers gave her the look she had always wanted.

Rick:

Rick is a very successful builder of stores for a major national retailer. He told us his reason he did not like his smile was because of several mismatched crowns and his lower teeth were very crooked.

Treatment consisted of creating a before——reatment wax up of what his teeth could look like. When we agreed this would be a wonderful result, we used this wax up as a template to prepare the temporary smile he would wear for the days while his permanent smile was being made in the laboratory. When he returned, we transformed his smile with all-porcelain Empress crowns and facings. He now has the confidence to smile at every occasion

Dixie:

Broken teeth. Discolored teeth. Old, worn dental work. Unsightly spaces. Put them all together and you have a situation where a patient may be very unhappy with their smile.

Proper planning of the end result gave Dixie a new smile that will allow her to enjoy her upcoming retirement.
